Advanced Sport Management Course 2012/2013

The 3rd Advanced Sport Management Course conducted by the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Olympic Solidarity Programme of the International Olympic Committee will be commencing on June 28, 2012. The course will consist of modules covering the following topics and will be held over a 12 month period in 5 sessions each consisting of 3 days.
1. Organising an Olympic Sport Organisation
2. Managing Strategically
3. Managing Human Resources
4. Managing Finance
5. Managing Marketing
6. Organising a Major Sport Event
This provides an opportunity for individuals serving in National Sport Associations and other organisations responsible for the development of sport. Applications are expected from individuals who meet the following qualifications.
a) Holder of a senior executive position in a sport organisation
b) A good command of English with ability to write reports
c) Computer literacy
Applications should be forwarded to the Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee along with a detailed CV and a letter of recommendation by the candidate’s sport organisation before February 20, 2012.
Short-listed applicants will be called for an interview and will be evaluated through a work-shop before the final selection.
